HandBrake is excellent software — free, open source, endlessly capable. It is also a cockpit: presets, tabs, bitrates, filters, two-pass toggles. That's the right interface for ripping a film archive, and the wrong one for 'this MOV needs to be an MP4 under 25 MB, and I needed it five minutes ago'.
RenameTo's bet is that the common case deserves its own interface — and that the interface already exists: the filename. video.mov → video.25mb.mp4 states the entire requirement. The app does the codec choices, the bitrate math, and the hardware encoding, then puts the file back where it was.

Batch queues with per-item settings, subtitle handling, deinterlacing, chapter markers, obsessive quality tuning — and the price of zero. If you enjoy the cockpit, keep the cockpit. RenameTo is for the daily 'make it fit / make it play' cases that don't deserve twenty minutes of interface.
